北京谱仪上MRPC 端盖飞行时间探测器离线数据处理( Offline Data Processing of MRPC End Cap TOF at BESIII)

摘要:北京谱仪(BESIII)实验为了进一步提高粒子鉴别能力,利用多气隙电阻性板室代替了原来的闪烁体,完成了端盖飞行时间探测器的升级改造。探测器的过阈时间存在多峰的结构,研究发现多峰结构对带电粒子击中位置存在依赖。报告讨论了新的探测器离线数据的刻度与重建方法。报告同时还包括多气隙电阻性板室技术的简要回顾,探测器和电子学要点的介绍以及探测器校准方面的内容。 Abstract: In order to improve the particle identification capability on end cap time-of-flight (TOF) at BESIII., the end cap TOF detector was upgraded with multi-gap resistive plate chamber (MRPC) technology. The correlation of the multi-peak time-over-threshold and the hit position of charged particle is investigated. Implementation of the offline data calibration and reconstruction methods are discussed in detail. The presentation also includes the contents of a brief review of MRPC technology, an introduction of the principle of detector and electronics, and alignment of the new detector. Resume: SUN Shengsen received his PhD at Department of Modern Physics, University of Science and Technology of China in 2004. From 2004 to 2006, he worked as postdoctoral researcher in Institute of High Energy Physics. Since 2006, he works in Experimental Physics Center of IHEP. Since 2000, he participated in BESII and BESIII collaboration, and works on the study of Jpsi decay, charm physics and offline software. He also participated PANDA experiment in 2016, and contribute to the offline software. 个人简历: 孙胜森, 2004年毕业于中国科学技术大学近代物理系,获博士学位。2004年至2006年在高能物理研究所做博士后。2006年至今在高能物理研究所实验物理中心工作。 2000年至今参加BESII和BESIII实验,先后从事粲偶素衰变,粲介子物理和离线软件方面的研究工作。2016年起参加PANDA实验,从事离线软件方面的研究。 讲座通知: 讲座结束后,中午12点在前院国科大食堂二楼雅五包间与孙教授共进工作餐,并继续讨论。
