In this talk, I will discuss the holographic complexity for a higher curvature gravitational theory. First, by considering the variational principle of the higher curvature gravity, we derive the surface term as well as corner term supplemented to the bulk action for a general nonsmooth boundary. Then, based these boundary actions and Iyer-Wald formula, a general formalism can be resorting to finding the late-time complexity growth rate in a stationary black hole with the “complexity equals action” conjecture.
