The nature of dark matter is one of the most fundamental problems in physics. One compelling class of dark matter particles are the so-called WIMPs (Weakly Interacting Massive Particles), which can be searched in deep underground direct detection experiments. The PandaX (Particle AND Astrophysical Xenon) project is a staged xenon-based underground experiment at the China Jin-Ping Underground Laboratory. In the past a few years, PandaX has produced competitive results in the dark matter search. The next generation of the experiment, PandaX-4T, is under active preparation. In this talk, I will report the current status of the experiment and the plan for the near future.
