Description
Abstract: Significant improvements in the determination of Higgs boson properties have been obtained by combining individual (simplified template) cross section measurements from pp collision data collected from 2015 - 2017 at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV with the ATLAS detector at the LHC. The results are interpreted in the kappa-framework (coupling modifiers), taking also into account searches for invisible Higgs boson decays and off-shell Higgs boson production. In addition, the combined measurements are used to set constraints on generic two-Higgs-doublet models and on the hMSSM. Brief CV of the speaker: Hongtao Yang obtained his PhD degree from University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2016, supervised by Prof. Sau Lan WU. His thesis is on the discovery of the Higgs boson, measurement of Higgs boson properties, and search for new physics in the diphoton decay channel. He is now a Chamberlain postdoctoral Fellow of Lawrence Berkeley National Lab. Hongtao participated in the Higgs boson discovery as a junior student. Since then, his main interest has been on Higgs boson property measurements. He serves as the co-convener of the ATLAS Higgs properties and combinations sub-group since 2017. He is also involved in the Run 2 operation of ATLAS pixel detector, as well as the upgrade of ATLAS pixel detector for high-luminosity LHC.
