Abstract:
The Belle II experiment at the energy-asymmetric e^+e^- collider SuperKEKB has completed a series of substantial upgrades and started physics data taking since Mar.2019. In order to fully exploit the increased number of events and determine the decay vertex of the B mesons with high precision, Belle II has featured a new pixel detector (PXD) based on the DEpleted P-channel Field Effect Transistor (DEPFET) technology. The DEPFET concept combines the detection together with the in-pixel amplification by integration, on each pixel, of a FET into a fully depleted silicon bulk. The PXD sensors are thinned down to 75 μm with low power consumption and low intrinsic noise. In this talk, commissioning and performance of Belle II PXD measured with first collision data will be presented.
