DEPFET pixels for Belle II Experiment

Description
As an upgrade of asymmetric e+e- collider KEKB, SuperKEKB aims to increase the peaking luminosity by a factor of 40 to 8x10^{35}cm^{-2}s^{-1}.
At the same time the complex Belle II detector is significantly upgraded to improve the overall performance and cope with the higher background level and trigger rate. The goal of the experiment is to explore physics beyond the standard model with a target integrated luminosity of 50 ab^{−1} in the next decade. Belle II has featured a new pixel detector (PXD) based on the DEpleted P-channel Field Effect Transistor (DEPFET) technology. The DEPFET concept combines the detection together with the in-pixel amplification by integration, on each pixel, of a FET into a fully depleted silicon bulk. The PXD sensors are thinned down to 75 μm with low power consumption and low intrinsic noise. In this talk, an overview of DEPFET pixels, including Belle II pixel detector commissioning and performance measured with first collision data, will be presented.
