Flavor Physics at Future Z-Factories: $b\to s\tau\tau$ Measurements and Beyond

Future Z-Factories, combining high luminosity with excellent precision, will serve as a bridge between high energy physics and flavor physics. In this work, we focus on the measurements of $b \to s \tau^+ \tau^-$ transition, which are crucial for the demystification of current lepton flavor universality violation (LFUV) anomalies in $B$ meson decays. Although they are expected to be difficult tasks at both future b-factories and hadron colliders, we show that future Z-factories can provide leading and unique results for these measurements. Detailed analysis strategies for 4 typical $b \to s \tau^+ \tau^-$ channels are given, leading to corresponding sensitivities of $\mathcal{O}(10^{-5} - 10^{-7})$ depending on various final states. We will also discuss the vast possibilities of other flavor physics aspects at Z pole. About the speaker: Lingfeng Li received his BS in Chemistry and Physics in 2013 from Peking University, followed by his PhD in Theoretical High Energy Physics from University of California, Davis in 2018 under the supervision of Prof. Hsin-Chia Cheng.
