The deep underground laboratories are racing to go lower energy thresholds for low mass dark matter searches. The advanced detectors are equipped to hunt for traditional dark matter, the Weakly Interacting Massive Particle (WIMP), at its lower end. In the deepest underground laboratory Jinping, CDEX and PandaX experiments are exploring the territory from both nuclear and electronic recoils, and there are world-wide efforts from Xenon, LUX etc. Not only traditional light WIMP dark matter, neutrinos, axions and dark photons or even more exotic particles may also leave footprint in those deep underground detectors. We are waiting for the feedback from the nature.
The workshop focuses on the low energy recoils from deep underground laboratories, including both nuclear and electronic recoils. The workshop will review recent developments in this field, present new ideas and discuss perspectives both experimentally and theoretically.
