Description
The LHC bear great potential in seeking for hidden sector particles in the GeV to TeV scales, such as a high-quality QCD axion, glueballs, and heavy neutrinos. In this talk, I will present my recent studies on how to probe these hidden sector particles through novel long-lived particle searches. If time permits, I will also briefly provide examples of long-lived particle potential at future experiments such as DUNE, CEPC, etc. Introduction of the speaker: Zhen Liu is an assistant professor at the University of Minnesota at Twin Cities. Zhen received his BSc in Physics from Zhejiang University in 2009, MSc in Physics from University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2011, and PhD in Physics from the University of Pittsburgh in 2015. Afterwards, Zhen became a research associate (postdoc) in the theoretical physics group at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory during 2015-2018 and at the Maryland Center for Fundamental Physics, University of Maryland, during 2018-2020.
