Beihang University is proud to host the Summer School on Medical Physics 2021, which will take place in Beihang University between August 9 and 13, 2021. This 5-day course will provide an overview of radiotherapy with focuses on its clinical and QA procedures, state-of-the-art image-guidance techniques, and the applications of artificial intelligence. The topics include principles and techniques of radiotherapy, treatment planning, particle therapy, quality assurance and control, image-guidance techniques, brachytherapy, radiobiology, AI applications, as well as radiation safety. This course will be beneficial to current undergraduate students who want to know better about Medical Physics field as well as medical physicists at different stages in their careers who would like to know about the current status of radiotherapy, especially the clinical implementation. We look forward to seeing you at the 2021 BUAA Medical Physics Summer School!

 

Learning Objectives:

 To educate and prepare students for professional and/or research career development in different areas related to medical physics.

 To provide students with professional knowledge about the clinical physics in radiotherapy and radiology and its medical application.

 To introduce the rationale and principle of physics in radiotherapy and medical imaging.

 To update students and medical physicists with current and future developments and trends in radiation medicine.
