报告摘要:In this talk, I will report the progress regarding the open string pair production, the analog of Schwinger pair production in QED, from a setup of two Dp branes placed parallel at a separation and with each carrying an electric flux in Type II string theories. We find that under the same applied electromagnetic fluxes the D3 brane setup gives the largest pair production rate and in particular when there is also a magnetic flux present, this pair production can be much enhanced. We will explain the physics behind such an enhancement. In addition, we will discuss the potentially testable pair production rate and the relation between the stringy computed pair production rate and the relevant ones computed in QED. 个人简介:卢建新,1992年在美国Texas A&M大学获得理论物理博士学位,并先后在欧洲核子中心(CERN)、Texas A&M 大学、密西根理论物理中心从事研究工作。2002年5月至今,他为中国科技大学教授,博士生导师,负责组建了以研究超弦/M理论为主的,涉及理论物理、宇宙学和基础数学三学科交叉的中国科技大学交叉学科理论研究中心并担任该中心主任。他是2002年度中国科学院 “引进国外杰出人才”, 2005年度国家杰出青年科学基金获得者, 2004年度教育部长江特聘教授, 国家七部委首批“新世纪百千万人才工程”国家级人选。 他在非微扰弦理论研究,尤其在所谓超弦第二次革命中,做出了国际领先性、原创性的研究工作, 发现了非微扰弦基本动力学客体——高维孤子p-膜并给予了分类, 为弦理论各种对偶性和M-理论存在性的建立提供了基础。 腾讯会议ID:917 8905 3861
