Description
14:00-15:00 Fixed-target experiment using ILC main beam dump Speaker: Dr. Daiki Ueda (CHEP, PKU) Abstract: We study capability of the ILC beam dump experiment to search for new physics, comparing the performance of the electron and positron beam dumps. The dark photon, axion-like particles, and light scalar bosons are considered as new physics scenarios, where all the important production mechanisms are included: electron- positron pair-annihilation, Primakoff process, and bremsstrahlung productions. We find that the ILC beam dump experiment has higher sensitivity than past beam dump experiments, with the positron beam dump having slightly better per- formance for new physics particles which are produced by the electron-positron pair- annihilation. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 15:00-16:00 Dark QCD and Asymmetric Dark Matter Speaker: Dr. Takumi Kuwahara (CHEP, PKU) Abstract: Composite asymmetric dark matter is one of promising candidates to explain why the observed dark matter mass density of the Universe is close to the visible matter mass density. Compositeness provides key ingredients for asymmetric dark matter: stability of dark baryons and strong annihilation cross section of dark matter. Once the asymmetry in the visible sector is generated, say by leptogenesis, the asymmetry is shared to the dark sector via effective interactions which involve particles of visible and dark sectors. We also introduce dark photons to the model in order to release huge entropy in the dark sector which dark pions carry. The dark sector is connected to the visible sector via two portal interactions: dark photon portal and effective interactions. The portal interactions give phenomenological signatures: direct and indirect detection of dark matter (dark baryons), and long-lived visible signals at LHC lifetime frontier and beam-dump experiments. In this talk, we discuss the model of dark QCD with dark photon portal, ultraviolet completion, and phenomenology.
