This talk is a brief introduction to a dark matter model named axion quark nugget (AQN) model, the main topic of my PhD projects. AQNs are generated from the dynamics of axion domain walls in the early Universe. They are made of standard model quarks which could be squeezed into color superconducting phase due to the wall tension. The crucial point is that AQNs can be made of matter as well as antimatter. Due to the CP-violating nonzero theta vacuum angle during the formation of AQNs, there will be a disparity between matter AQNs and antimatter AQNs. Matter AQNs and antimatter AQNs together form the dark matter, while the disparity between them leads to the observed matter-antimatter asymmetry. This also naturally explains the similarity between visible and dark matter abundances. Furthermore, the AQN model could potentially resolve a list of astrophysical and cosmological puzzles, such as the 'solar corona mystery' and the seasonally-varying X-ray background in the near-Earth space observed by XMM-Newton.
