Abstract:
Top quark, as the heaviest fundamental particle, may encode the new physics beyond standard model. The large dataset collected by ATLAS detector during Run 2 allows the experiment to explore the rare and suppressed interaction processes with top quarks that may provide an evidence for new physics. This report presents the latest full Run 2 ATLAS searches for flavour-changing neutral current interactions of the top quark with all known elementary neutral bosons, including the Higgs boson.
Speaker:
Mingming Xia is a PhD student working on the ATLAS experiment at Tsinghua University. He is currently a visiting student at IHEP, CAS working on the ITk upgrade project for HL-LHC. His research has been focusing on new physics searches including top FCNC decays (in collaboration with LBNL) and heavy resonance, B hadron physics including tetraquark searches. He is an analysis contact of the FCNC tqH(tautau) analysis.
