摘要:Electroweak precision observables are excellent tests of the Standard Model of particle physics. Recently, evidence for a deficit in the first-row unitarity of the CKM matrix has emerged, originating from combining Vud and Vus extractions from beta and kaon decays, respectively. The accurate determination of the CKM matrix elements requires the precision inputs of the hadronic matrix elements. I will talk about the role played by lattice QCD in this precision frontier

 

报告人简介:

冯旭,北京大学博雅特聘教授,博士生导师,国家杰出青年科学基金获得者。2004年、2007年本科、硕士毕业于北京大学,2010年博士毕业于德国电子同步加速器实验室(DESY),随后在日本高能加速器研究机构(KEK)、美国哥伦比亚大学从事博士后研究,2016年入职北京大学。主要从事格点量子色动力学研究。
