标题:Some investigations on axionic dark matter

摘要: Axionic dark matter has attracted more and more attention recently. Axions naturally appear as a solution of the strong CP problem. They are good dark matter candidates and can contribute to the dark matter density observed. Due to axion couplings to photons, electrons and nucleons, they have interesting phenomenology, some of which can be used in axion searches. In this talk, I will discuss several interesting effects of axions, including stimulated radiation in axion clumps, electric dipole moment induced by axions, axions as a possible probe of the early universe and axions with repulsive self-interactions. These studies may provide new perspectives on axion properties and detections.

报告人简介:Zihang Wang is a PhD student in Peking University, and is going to obtain the PhD degree in astrophysics this year. During his PhD research, he mainly worked on theories of axions and the consequences of axionic dark matter. Besides he also focused on axion phenomenology and other theories of dark matter and dark energy.
