Description

The Electron-Ion Collider (EIC) is a machine which was designed

to unlock the secrets of the internal structure of proton and nuclei.

However, the high polarization of incoming beams and the high integrated luminosity of this machine also offer an opportunity to test the electroweak  properties of the SM as well as the BSM effects.

In this talk, I will discuss the recent developments of probing the SM and BSM effects at the future EIC, e.g. the weak mixing angle, Zbb anomalous coupling, SMEFT effects, dark photon and so on. We also demonstrated that some limits for the BSM effects from EIC could be comparable or better than the LHC, although the collider energy of the EIC is much smaller than the LHC.
