Phenomenological Study on Charmed Baryon Decays

During this talk, I provide an overview of recent progress in the study of charmed baryon decays, covering both inclusive and exclusive decays. Despite the charm quark mass not being heavy enough to employ the heavy quark expansion technique, I demonstrate that qualitative results can still be obtained in inclusive decay widths. Specifically, the lifetimes of Ω𝑐0Ω_c^0 baryons and the newly established hierarchy of 𝜏Ξ𝑐+>𝜏Ω𝑐0>𝜏Λ𝑐+>𝜏(Ξ𝑐0)τ(Ξ_c^+ )>τ(Ω_c^0 )>τ(Λ_c^+ )>τ(Ξ_c^0) can be attributed to the contribution of the four-quark operator at the 1/𝑚𝑐4m_c^4 order.

    An important lesson learned from inclusive decays is the significant role played by W-exchange diagrams, with their effects sometimes surpassing those of direct emission. To estimate the amplitudes of these diagrams, the pole model is considered. In the limit of soft mesons, the formalism becomes greatly simplified through the use of current algebra. I review several studies that utilize SU(3) flavor symmetry and discuss the incorporation of the Körner–Pati–Woo theorem to reduce the number of free parameters in SU(3) flavor fitting. I highlight several aspects that should be considered for future studies in the field of charmed baryon decays.

刘佳韦,2020年台湾清华大学理论物理博士,现任中国科学院大学杭州高等研究院博士后。主要研究方向为重味物理,包含SU(3)味对称在粲重子中的应用以及底重子衰变里的时间反演破缺效应。在粲重子的衰变中,结合拓扑图以及群论成功解释了现有实验数据。近5年发表33SCI期刊论文,获国家青年自然科学基金一项。
