Scalar leptoquark and vector-like quark extended models as the explanation of the muon g-2 anomaly

Description

The muon (g-2) anomaly is a longstanding puzzle in particle physics. Leptoquark (LQ) extended models can be the solution to this anomaly due to the chiral enhancements. In the minimal scalar LQ models, there are only two representations R2 and S1 with enhancements, which are induced by the up-type quark interactions. In this talk, we consider the scalar LQ and vector-like quark (VLQ) extended models. Besides the R2 and S1 related models, we find new solutions to the anomaly in the presence of SM quark and VLQ mixings. Moreover, there are also enhancements induced by the down-type quark interactions in some models. In these LQ and VLQ extended models, there can be new LQ and VLQ search channels.

报告人简介: Dr. Shi-Ping He(和世平)graduated from Wuhan University in 2014. In 2019, he received Ph.D degree of science from Peking University. From 2019 to 2021, he worked as a postdoc at Institute of High Energy Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. From 2021 to 2023, he worked as a postdoc at Asia Pacific Center for Theoretical Physics. Currently, he is visiting Center for High Energy Physics, Peking University. Dr. Shi-Ping He's research field is new physics beyond the standard model of elementary particle physics, especially, Higgs physics and explanations of some experimental anomalies. Today, he will give a talk on explaining the muon g-2 anomaly in the scalar leptoquark and vector-like quark extended models.
