The key physics objective of CEPC is to identify the new physics principles underneath the SM. According to its accelerator TDR, it is expected to deliver 4 Tera Z bosons, 4 Million Higgs bosons, Gigas of W bosons, and potentially 1 Million of top or anti-top quarks in 2 decades of operation. The main portal of its exploration is the Higgs boson, while CEPC also offers great opportunities to flavor physics, EW, direct New Physics Signal Hunting, and QCD studies.
This manuscript summarizes the physics reach and corresponding detector performance requirements w.r.t. flavor physics program at CEPC. It covers the topics of FCCC and FCNC transitions, CP violation, LFU, LNV and BNV, exotic states, light BSM particles, etc. Meanwhile, we should emphasize that this current draft is by no means inclusive, while vast interesting topics are still awaiting for exploration.
