The CEPC (Circular Electron-Positron Collider) aims to uncover new physics beyond the Standard Model (SM) through high-precision measurements and direct searches.
Over nearly two decades of operation, it is expected to produce approximately 4 million Higgs bosons, 4 trillion (Tera) Z bosons, 1 billion (Giga) W bosons, and nearly 1 million top quarks. These datasets, combined with CEPC’s clean environment and excellent detector performance, enable sensitive probes of electroweak symmetry breaking, flavor dynamics, and new phenomena at the intensity frontier.
This White Paper outlines the broad new physics potential of the CEPC across a wide range of topics. These include exotic Higgs, Z, and top decays; electroweak phase transition and gravitational wave signals; dark matter and dark sector scenarios; long-lived particles; supersymmetry; flavor physics; heavy and sterile neutrinos; axion-like particles; and other exotic phenomena. It also presents global fits within effective field theory and specific BSM frameworks. Together, these studies demonstrate the CEPC’s rich discovery prospects and its complementarity with other current and future experiments.
We invite the broader high energy physics community to join this effort. This White Paper is a collaborative, evolving document aimed at mapping the new physics potential of the CEPC. All interested colleagues are welcome to contribute, provide feedback, and register as signatories. Your participation is vital to building a compelling and comprehensive CEPC physics program for the coming decades.
