DESCRIPTION:The department of Physics\, The Chinese University of Hong Kon
g and the Institute of High-energy Physics\, the Chinese Academy of Scienc
e are jointly organising the Hong Kong Academics LHAASO Symposium\, to fa
cilitate the promotion of science related to LHAASO and high-altitude envi
ronments。 \n\nLHAASO (Large High Altitude Air Shower Observatory) has p
rovided crucial insights into the origin and nature of cosmic rays\, parti
cularly in the ultra-high-energy regime. Its results also have implication
s for multi-messenger astronomy\, as LHAASO can detect gamma rays in coinc
idence with other messengers\, such as neutrinos and gravitational waves.\
n\nThe meeting will take place at the LHAASO site.  Expert talks about th
e instrument and the science\, as well as a trip to visit the instrument w
ill be arranged. \n\nThe meeting is partly supported by the RGC and the N
 SFC.\n\nThe deadline for registration is July 31th 2025\n\n\n\n \n\nhttps
