It is believed that given a CFT with symmetry G, if G is anomaly free, then there exists a simple conformal boundary condition of the CFT preserving G. I will discuss examples where this lore is obeied, and examples where the lore is violated. I will also discuss examples where G is replaced by a finite fusion category.
