Abstract: In this talk, I will present my recent works on supersymmetric extensions of the Carrollian (conformal) algebra and the BMS$_4$ algebra. Carrollian and BMS symmetries have garnered significant attention in recent years due to their key role in flat-space holography: Carrollian conformal symmetry is conjectured to describe boundary field theories, while BMS symmetry, as the asymptotic symmetry of flat spacetime, governs the bulk dynamics. Notably, the d-dimensional Carrollian conformal algebra is isomorphic to the global part of the BMS$_{d+1}$ algebra, and their supersymmetric extensions exhibit analogous relations.
My work reveals that these superalgebras differ fundamentally from the super Poincare algebra. Specifically, they admit fermionic generators with spins exceeding 1/2 and incorporate R-symmetry even in un-extended cases. These findings lay the groundwork for future studies on supersymmetry in flat-space holography.
