Axion cosmology: from theoretical motivations to detectable signals

Description

I will discuss cosmological aspects of the QCD axion and more general axion-like particles. I will then show how axions can play a key role in well-motivated baryogenesis frameworks, strengthening their motivation beyond the strong CP problem. Next, I will introduce a simple axion–monopole model in which the axion dynamics induces an effective interaction between dark matter and dark energy. I will close with recent developments in cosmological signals of axion dark matter and prospects for future detection.

肖煌煜于2022年获华盛顿大学博士学位,随后在费米国家实验室与芝加哥大学开展首站博士后研究。2025年起,他加入波士顿大学与哈佛大学,开始第二站博士后工作。其近期研究主要聚焦于轴子宇宙学的探测研究,并致力于构建粒子物理模型,以阐释宇宙重子不对称性的起源。
