Description
Precision tests of the Standard Model in heavy-flavor physics increasingly hinge on the light-cone distribution amplitudes (LCDAs) of heavy mesons, whose inverse moments dominate the uncertainty of key observables such as the B → π and B → K* form factors. For decades these amplitudes could only be modeled rather than computed. Using heavy-quark large-momentum effective theory (HQLaMET), we determine the heavy-meson LCDAs from lattice QCD in the continuum limit for the first time. Across six ensembles with controlled continuum, chiral, and infinite-momentum extrapolations, we obtain λ_B = 0.340(20) GeV and σ_B^(1) = 1.685(63) at μ = 1 GeV, consistent with experimental constraints. This replaces model dependence with genuine first-principles input for next-generation heavy-flavor phenomenology.
