Description
As part of the R&D of the AGORA muon system (CEPC), the JINR group created a setup for testing long scintillation strips up to 4.3 meters long. This setup allows for the simultaneous examination of 16 samples of maximum length at 16 points along the strip. It is designed for long-term measurements using cosmic muons to obtain various strip parameters, including time and spatial resolution, aging, and more. The report provides a detailed description of the setup and the first results on the time resolution of 10x40x4300 mm strips with grooves, into which Kuraray Y11 WLS fibers with diameters of 1.2 and 2 mm are glued. Preliminary measurement results show that the time resolution of the studied strips meets the requirements of the AGORA muon system.
