Description
An overview of ongoing developments and speculative ideas for greatly improved or novel detectors relying on quantum effects and relevant to the field of particle physics will be given. A particular focus will be placed on ideas addressing calorimetry, tracking, timing or other challenges relevant to high energy particle physics experiments, but some low energy applications linked to particle and fundamental physics will be discussed as well.
