Description
The BEPCII Upgrade (BEPCII-UP) adopts the crab waist collision scheme to significantly enhance luminosity. In this study, lattice design (including the survey, optics parameters, and working point matching) and dynamic aperture optimization for the BEPCII-UP collider ring are carried out using the SAD code. To obtain a sufficient dynamic aperture for injection, a combined-function magnet scheme (B+S) is explored, and a genetic algorithm is employed to optimize the strengths of the sextupoles. The optimized lattice preliminarily meets the injection requirement on dynamic aperture and improves the beam lifetime compared with the initial design, providing a reliable basis for the BEPCII-UP crab waist scheme.
