Description
A highly granular scintillating-glass calorimeter is being developed for the AGORA detector concept, motivating dedicated software developments for detector simulation and event reconstruction. The detector geometry has been implemented in the CEPC software framework (CEPCSW) based on DD4hep, enabling Geant4 simulation and performance studies with EDM4hep-based event data.
This contribution presents the current software development for the scintillating-glass calorimeter, covering detector implementation, simulation, digitization, and reconstruction. A detector-response model is being developed to bridge Geant4 energy deposits and realistic calorimeter signals, including scintillation light generation, optical photon transport, light collection efficiency, SiPM response, and related detector effects.
In parallel, the CyberPFA particle-flow reconstruction algorithm is being adapted to the highly granular scintillating-glass geometry. Ongoing developments include clustering, energy-core based shower recognition, and photon reconstruction, with the ultimate goal of achieving full particle-flow and jet reconstruction for the scintillating-glass calorimeter within CEPCSW.
