Description
With the increasing luminosity of SuperKEKB, the background rate in
the Belle II detector is expected to increase, potentially exceeding
the processing capacity of the current High Level Trigger (HLT)
system. To mitigate the HLT processing load, we are developing a
GPU-based pre-filtering system that performs part of the event
reconstruction on GPUs before the conventional HLT processing. We have
integrated CUDA into the Belle II software framework to establish a
seamless execution environment across GPUs and CPUs. In this
presentation, we will report on the current status and progress of the
development.
