 )\nBeihang University is proud to host the 2026 International Summer Scho
 ol\, which will take place at Beihang University Shahe Campus between Au
 gust 3 and 7\, 2026 with hybrid format. The theme of this 5-day course 
 is Radiotherapy Techniques and Modalities for Medical Physicists. This s
 ummer school is the fifth in its series. The first (General Clinical Issue
 s) was held virtually in 2021. The second (Particle Therapy)\, the third 
 (Treatment Planning System)\, and the fourth (Radiobiology) were held in a
  hybrid format in 2023\, 2024\, and 2025\, respectively. More information

  2024\, 2025. \n\nRadiotherapy Techniques and Modalities\, spanning a com
 prehensive spectrum from conventional linear accelerators to advanced imag
 e-guided systems\, form the technological backbone for modern precision on
 cology. Mastery of this domain is critical for medical physicists to match
  the optimal hardware with specific clinical scenarios. This field encompa
 sses the evolution of Treatment Modalities\, including “up-to-date” LI
 NACs\, hybrid systems like MR-LINAC and PET-LINAC that integrate diagnosti
 c imaging for adaptive workflows\, specialized platforms such as Cyberknif
 e\, Gammaknife\, Tomotherapy\, and cutting-edge innovations like e-Flash a
 nd Particle Therapy Machines. Concurrently\, it involves the implementatio
 n of sophisticated Treatment Techniques—such as IMRT/VMAT for complex sh
 ape conformation\, SBRT/SRS for high-dose focal ablation\, BNCT for target
 ed microdosimetry\, TBI for systemic bone marrow preparation\, SFRT for al
 tered fractionation schedules\, and ART for real-time plan adaptation. The
  fundamental goal lies in harnessing these specific machines and delivery 
 strategies to ensure the planned dose distribution is physically realized\
 , thereby maximizing therapeutic efficacy through technological precision 
 while minimizing unintended exposure to surrounding normal tissues.\n\nThi
 s course will be beneficial to students\, both undergraduate and graduate\
 , who are interested in medical physics or plan to pursue a career in this
  field. It will also be beneficial to individuals working in clinics or in
 dustry as medical physicists to learn how to manage their daily work\, bot
 h in modality and in technique toward high quality radiotherapy. This cour
