PKU HEP Seminar and Workshop (北京大学高能物理组)

The LHCb simulation software (1/2)

by Patrick Robbe (LAL Orsay)

Asia/Shanghai
Description

Abstract:

The lecture will explain how the LHCb simulation software works. The principles of the event generation will be explained. Then, how generator-level events are assembled and simulated in order to obtain events as close as possible to reality for LHCb physics analyses.

About the speaker:

Patrick Robbe is a researcher at the IJCLab laboratory in Orsay at the Universite Paris-Saclay in France, member of the LHCb collaboration, where he contributed to the development of the generators for the LHCb simulation software, to detector operation and to flavour physics measurements. He is currently deputy spokesperson of the LHCb collaboration.
