DESCRIPTION: \n\n \n\nAbstract:\n\nDetector technology serves as the cor
 nerstone of research in nuclear and particle physics experiments\, among w
 hich gaseous detectors play an important role. From the breakthrough of mu
 lti-wire proportional chambers to the technological innovation of the new-
 generation Micro-Pattern Gaseous Detectors (MPGD)\, gaseous detectors have
  continuously driven advances at the scientific frontiers of relevant fiel
 ds. This report reviews the technical evolution and core advantages of gas
 eous detectors\, presents the research achievements of the MPGD team at th
 e University of Science and Technology of China (USTC)\, and discusses the
 ir great application potential in new-generation deep underground experime
 nts\, nuclear astrophysics\, space exploration and other areas.\n\n \n\nA
 bout the speaker:\n\nZhiyong Zhang is a Professor and PhD supervisor at 
 the School of Physical Sciences\, USTC. He received his PhD in Nuclear and
  Particle Physics from the University of Science and Technology of China i
 n 2015. His long-term research focuses on Micro-Pattern Gaseous Detectors 
 and particle physics experiments. He leads research on thermal-bonding Mic
 romegas and novel MPGD configurations\, as well as the development of new 
 gas photoelectric detection methods and related devices. Targeting the dem
 ands of nuclear and particle physics experiments\, he also conducts resear
