DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Yan Liu (Beihang University)\nI will talk about two
aspects of holography. The first part concerns the late-time dynamics of
AdS black branes. I will explain why the usual picture of black hole ringd
own as a linear superposition of quasinormal modes is incomplete. Due to t
he interplay between nonlinear effects and horizon dissipation\, higher Fo
urier sectors at late times are dominated by harmonics driven by the funda
mental mode. These harmonics exhibit a universal cascade relation\, which
can be derived from relativistic viscous fluid dynamics. This identifies a
n attractor solution governing the late-time relaxation of nonlinear dissi
pative systems.\n\nThe second part focuses on holography on non-manifold s
pacetimes. I will describe how such geometries can realize GHZ-type quantu
m states and provide another route for counting black hole microstates. I
will also briefly discuss the properties of field theories defined on thes
 e non-manifold spaces\, namely holographic junctions.\n\nBiography：\nYan
Liu did his undergraduate studies at USTC (2001-2005). After completing h
is Ph.D. at ITP\, CAS in 2010\, he conducted postdoctoral research at the
Lorentz insitutute\, Leiden University (2010-2013) and later at IFT-UAM/CS
IC in Spain (2013-2016). In 2016\, he joined Beihang University as a profe
ssor. His research focuses on holographic duality\, black hole physics\, a
 nd quantum gravity.\nhttps://indico.ihep.ac.cn/event/29917/
