DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Felix Yu (Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz)\nI d
iscuss theoretical issues with constructing effective theories of gauged c
hiral symmetries\, taking a quark-universal U(1)_B symmetry as an example.
I will review the phenomenology of the Z-Z’-photon vertex and point o
ut novelties regarding a non-renormalization theorem and connections to el
ectroweak loop calculations and dimensional regularization.  I also prese
nt the collider signatures from the exotic scalar sector and the character
istic nature of\nnon-decoupling chiral matter.\n\nBio:\nFelix Yu is a theo
retical particle physicist and group leader in Theoretical High Energy Phy
sics at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. His research focuses on physi
cs beyond the Standard Model\, including new $U(1)$ gauge symmetries\, col
 lider phenomenology\, Higgs physics\, dark sectors\, axions and axion-like
particles\, CP violation\, and flavor physics. He received his Ph.D. in P
hysics from the University of California\, Irvine\, and his B.A. in Physic
s and Mathematics from Harvard University. Before joining Mainz\, he was a
Research Associate in the Theoretical Physics Department at Fermilab. His
work connects quantum-field-theoretic and model-building questions with e
xperimental searches at the LHC and other precision experiments.\nhttps://
