LHCb calorimeter comprises electromagnetic shashlyk and hadronic tile calorimeters, as well as the plane of scintillator pads and preshower in front. Design and performance of the calorimeter will be discussed along with the experience from the calorimeter operation. Examples of physics studies relying on the calorimeter performance will be given. Perspectives of the upgrade will finally be outlined.
