Mӧssbauer effect is a physical phenomenon used in many fields, such as physics, chemistry, material science, etc. 57Fe is one of the most important nuclei used in Mӧssbauer spectroscopy due to the long half life of parent. On the other hand, Fe is also one of the most important magnetic element, and the magnetic property or other properties of iron alloys and compounds are investigated widely. We summarized the advantages and applications of Mӧssbauer spectroscopy in magnetic materials, and try to discuss the future applications on nuclear resonant scattering and Mӧssbauer effect.
