Antiproton-to-Proton flux ratio measurement of AMS02

Abstract : The Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer (AMS02) was installed on the International Space Station (ISS) and it has been collecting data successfully since May 2011. The main goals of AMS02 are the search for cosmic anti-matter, dark matter and the precise measurement of the relative abundance of elements and isotopes in galactic cosmic rays. In this talk, a precision measurement by the AMS02 of the antiproton-to-proton flux ratio in primary cosmic rays in the rigidity range from 1 to 450 GV is presented. Also, we describe a method to reject the dominant electron background in antiproton identification with the use of the AMS02 RICH detector as a veto for rigidity below 3 GV. The antiproton-to-proton flux ratio reaches a maximum at ∼20 GV and is rigidity independent above 60.3 GV. Unexpectedly, the rigidity dependence of positron ,antiproton and proton are identical above ~60GV. 标题: AMS02探测器反质子与质子比例的测量 摘要: AMS02探测器自从2011年5月份上天装载在国际空间太空站上开始成功采集数据至今。其主要的科研任务是精确地测量各种元素的谱,寻找反物质以及暗物质。 这次会议主要讲述了如何精确地用AMS02探测器测量 1-450GV 反质子与质子比例。同时,描述了在低于3GV的能量范围内,如何使用AMS02切伦科夫探测器尽可能地去除电子而保留更多的反质子。 反质子与质子的比例在20GV附近达到最大值后,从60.3GV开始是平的。意想不到的是,正电子,反质子以及质子从60GV开始随能量变化的趋势非常一致。
