Abstract:
Belle II detector has much improvement and upgrade compared to Belle, the better performance of detector makes more physics study could happen on Belle II e.g. dark photon search, tau-physics study. As the designed luminosity of Belle II is 50 times larger than Belle and the detector will suffer more serious beam backgrounds, the data read-out system has to be robust enough to undertake so large data flow. How to balance the signal efficiency, background rejection and read-out bandwidth is a challenge to the trigger and data acquisition (DAQ) systems. I will overview the status of Belle II construction, and focus my report on the design of trigger and DAQ systems based on the physical targets.
About the speaker:
Chunhua Li obtained her Ph.D at IHEP in 2014 based on the BESIII experiment, then worked on Belle II experiment as a postdoctoral researcher in the University of Melbourne, Australia. She is now a faculty member of the School of Physics and Electronic Technology, Liaoning Normal University. Her research field is mainly on hadronic spectrum and B meson decays. She is in charge of the development of high level trigger and simulation of hardware trigger at Belle II.
