Description
Luminosity is important to most physics programs in any particle collider. The measurement is particularly challenging at hadron colliders. In this presentation, the luminosity measurement with the ATLAS detector at the LHC will be reviewed.
After the discovery of the Standard-Model-like Higgs boson at the LHC, one of the most important and interesting remaining questions is whether the discovered particle is the only Higgs boson or part of an extended scalar sector. Many new physics scenarios include such extensions. This presentation will discuss several searches with the ATLAS detector for heavy Higgs bosons that decay into a Z boson and a SM-like or another heavy Higgs boson (ZH) or into a pair of Higgs bosons (HH).
