Description
There are several theories beyond the standard model (SM) predicting the existence of new heavy resonances that can couple to quarks or gluons and can decay to dilepton pairs.
This talk presents the search for such kind of heavy resonances in electron-electron final state, muon-muon final state and electron-muon final state separately with the latest data collected by CMS.
No evidence for physics beyond the Standard Model is observed in the invariant mass spectrum of selected di-lepton events. The 95% CL observed lower limits on the masses of different models are set.
