10:00 – 11:00 Constraints on 2HDM parameters in Light of Rare B Decays Speaker: Prof. M.Ali Paracha (National University of Science and Technology, Islamabad, Pakistan) Abstract: In this talk I will discuss the allowed parameters of Two Higgs Doublet parameters (2HDM) in light of flavor physics observables, precisely from rare B-meson decays. In this work the most stringent constraints on 2HDM parameters arise from the branching ratio of rare radiative B meson decay. However, the constraints arising from the branching ratio of BS →μ+μ- decay in mH± tan ß plane give mH > 80 GeV for the value of tan ß ~2, that is in agreement with large electron-positron collider (LEP) data. Furthermore, it is also investigated the bounds on the CP-even mH and CP-odd mA0 Higgs boson not only from above mentioned physical observables, but also from the zero crossing of the forward- backward asymmetry of B→K*μ+μ- decay. Therefore, these bounds on parameters of the 2HDM will provides a fertile ground to test the 2HDM at current and future B-physics experiments. 11:00 – 12:00 LHCb anomaly in B → K ∗ μ + μ − optimised observables and potential of Z prime Model Speaker: Prof. Ishtiaq Ahmed (National University of Science and Technology, Islamabad, Pakistan) Abstract:Over the last few years LHCb with present energies found some discrepancies in FCNC transitions including anomalies in the angular observables. Recently, these anomalies are confirmed by Belle, CMS and ATLAS. As the direct evidence of physics beyond-the-SM is absent so far, therefore, these anomalies are being interpreted as indirect hint of new physics. In this context, we study the implication of non universal family of Z prime model to the angular observables . However, more statistics on the anomalies in the angular observables are helpful to reveal the status of the considered model and, in general, the nature of new physics.
