Description

We derive axial kinetic equations for QED plasma based on Kadanoff-Baym equation. Elastic scatterings such as Coulomb and Compton scatterings are described through self-energy and vertex corrections. We also discuss inelastic scatterings and its role in spin dynamics. The resulting axial kinetic equations provide a consistent framework for the spin dynamics at leading order in coupling.
