自希格斯粒子发现以来,对其性质的精密测量、对电弱对称性破缺机制的深入理解,以及对超越标准模型新物理的探索,一直是大型强子对撞机(LHC)及未来高能对撞机实验的重要科学目标。希格斯机制不仅是标准模型的重要组成部分,也与宇宙学中的若干关键问题密切相关,例如早期宇宙相变、重子数不对称的起源、暗物质以及引力波信号等。

“Higgs Potential 2026” 将聚焦希格斯物理及相关前沿问题的最新进展,围绕实验、现象学与理论研究展开深入交流。会议重点议题包括但不限于:

  • 希格斯粒子性质的高精度测量;
  • 双希格斯产生与希格斯自耦合;
  • 电弱对称性破缺及扩展希格斯扇区;
  • 与希格斯相关的超越标准模型新物理;
  • 希格斯物理与早期宇宙相变、重子生成及引力波之间的联系;
  • 希格斯门户暗物质及相关实验和理论研究;
  • 未来对撞机上希格斯物理的研究前景。

Since the discovery of the Higgs boson, precision measurements of its properties, a deeper understanding of the mechanism of electroweak symmetry breaking, and searches for new physics beyond the Standard Model have remained among the central scientific goals of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) and future high-energy collider experiments. The Higgs mechanism is not only a cornerstone of the Standard Model, but is also closely connected to several fundamental questions in cosmology, including phase transitions in the early Universe, the origin of the baryon asymmetry, dark matter, and gravitational-wave signatures.

Higgs Potential 2026 will focus on the latest developments in Higgs physics and related frontier topics, bringing together experimental, phenomenological, and theoretical perspectives. Topics of particular interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Precision measurements of Higgs boson properties;
  • Higgs boson pair production and the Higgs self-coupling;
  • Electroweak symmetry breaking and extended Higgs sectors;
  • New physics beyond the Standard Model related to the Higgs sector;
  • Connections between Higgs physics and early-Universe phase transitions, baryogenesis, and gravitational waves;
  • Higgs-portal dark matter and related experimental and theoretical studies;
  • Prospects for Higgs physics at future colliders.

The workshop aims to bring together theorists and experimentalists from China and abroad to facilitate in-depth discussions on Higgs physics, the mechanism of symmetry breaking, and their connections to cosmology, while fostering exchange and collaboration across different research areas.
