由于疫情影响,本年度强子国际会议向后平行移动一年。届时我们将重新邮件通知大家。谢谢。

Dear teachers, colleagues, experts and scholars,

Due to the impact of the epidemic, we regret to inform you that the 12th Workshop on Hadron Physics and Opportunities Worldwide scheduled to be held in Dalian University of Technology on July 26-30, 2020 will be cancelled temporarily after discussion by the Organizing Committee of the conference. The new date of the meeting will be determined after the epidemic is over (most probably on July 26-30, 2021). At that time, we will email you again. I'm sorry for the interruption.

=======================================================

We are pleased to announce that the “12th Workshop on Hadron Physics and Opportunities Worldwide” will take place at the Dalian University of Technology, Dalian, China from July 27th to July 30th, 2020.

The Hadron2020 is a four-day conference with July 26th for on-site registration. From 27th to 30th, the conference will be held at the Dalian Huaneng Hotel.  The conference hotel is located with great scenery with the Dalian Forest Zoo at its back and the FujiaZhuang Park in front, where one has the beautiful view of the seaside.

Hadron Physics has drawn great interests from the Chinese nuclear and high-energy physics communities and has been one of the main research fields at research institutes and universities in China. At the same time, the Chinese collaborations are playing increasingly important roles at international hadron physics facilities (Jefferson Lab, RHIC, COMPASS@CERN, J-PARC, …), in particular, at the recently upgraded 12 GeV Jefferson Lab in US, which will provide a broad range of opportunities for frontier research in hadronic physics.

The major topics covered at the workshop are opportunities at upcoming new facilities, and the current status of hadron physics with the particular focus being on the three-dimensional imaging of nucleon/nuclei, nucleon spin structure, etc. that can be explored at Jefferson Lab,RHIC, and a future Electron-Ion Colliders (EIC) in U.S., and possibly at an EIC@HIAF which has been widely discussed in China. Also ways to further enhance and promote collaborations between the Chinese and the international hadron physics communities will be discussed at this workshop.

This workshop follows its series previously held in Tianjin(2019), Weihai(2018), Nanjing(2017), Wuhan(2016), Kunshan (2015), Lanzhou (2014), Huangshan (2013), Beijing (2012), Weihai (2011), Beijing (2010), and Lanzhou (2009).

This workshop will be co-chaired by Jianping Chen(JLab), Haiyan Gao (Duke University).
