Baikal-GVD Neutrino Telescope

by Dr Dmitry Naumov (JIINR)

Asia/Shanghai
Description
Baikal Neutrino Telescope pioneered the field about 40 years ago. From 2014 the Baikal-GVD Collaboration is constructing a cubic km scale detector. Today, the effective volume of the Baikal-GVD for neutrino induced shower events is estimated to be 0.35 km3, making it the largest Neutrino Telescope in the Northern Hemisphere. We review the status of the detector deployment, current research results and further plans. About the speaker: Dmitry V. Naumov is Deputy Director of Dzhelepov Laboratory of Nuclear Problems (DLNP) at Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR). He is the PI of JINR Neutrino program, member of Baikal-GVD, JUNO, and Daya Bay Collaborations. -------- Zoom Meeting ID: 641 2076 4156 or click https://weidijia.zoom.com.cn/j/64120764156
