STAR Plan for BES-II and Beyond

Abstract: STAR has been pursuing the collection of data for the second phase of
the beam energy scan (BES-II) at RHIC since 2019. We hope to collect the
last datasets next year. I will present the status and plans for
analysis of the data, including discussion of the motivations the
collaboration has developed that have lead us to request additional
fixed target data and a significant amount of events at 17.1 GeV. The
large number of events at each beam energy collected as part of this
BES-II program will allow STAR to perform one of the most precise
explorations of the phase diagram to date.
