Virtual International Sample Environment Workshop

Asia/Shanghai
Description

The International Society for Sample Environment (ISSE) is a cooperative platform of institutions, companies, and individual persons working on sample environment at neutron and photon sources around the world. The organization provides a technical exchange platform by holding a workshop every two years. This workshop would be hosted by turns among the participating facilities. Unfortunately, it will be held online due to the outbreak of epidemic this year after a discussion by the board members. The date has been scheduled on 9-11 December with 2 hours each. The workshop will focus on the cutting-edge techniques for developing/improving sample environment devices from the participating facilities during the past two years. It also offers an excellent opportunity for young scientists/engineers to discuss, communicate, and promote technical ability in the field of sample environment.

Board members:
Chairman: Stefan Carlson
Secretary: Klaus Kiefer
Coordinator: Seiko Ohira-Kawamura
Communication officer: Marek Bartkowiak
Other members and facility representatives: Yong Nam CHOI, Yamali Hernandez, Koji Kaneko, Oleg Kirichek, Gary Lynn, Sarah Macdonell, Jürgen Peters, Joachim Schulz, Xin Tong, Rachel White,Yves Watier, Burkhard Anninghöfer, Arno Hiess, Rudolph van Heerden.
Local organizers: Xin Tong
