Sky localization and Parameter Estimation with Spaceborne Gravitational Wave detectors

报告摘要:Gravitational waves (GWs) opened a new window to uncover some of the universe’s biggest mysteries and became a game-changer for astronomy. Accurately localizing GW sources is important, since the accurate knowledge of the GW source position is essential for the follow-up observations of counterparts and the statistical identification of the host galaxy if no counterpart is found. LISA/Taiji and TianQin have different constellations. In this talk, I discuss how detectors' configuration properties, such as the orientation change of the detector plane, heliocentric or geocentric motion and the arm length etc., affect the accuracy of source localization and parameter estimations. We also discuss the detector’s response to different polarizations and the improvement on parameter estimations with the network of spaceborne GW detectors.
